Three Programs to end eventful February 2018

Delivered an invited talk at St. Thomas College, Ranni in association with Science Day Celebration on 26.02.2018. The theme of talk was sustainable development. Now this theme has got lot of attention and it was a great opportunity for myself to interact with students/teachers sharing ideas about sustainable development. For sustainable development to happen, science is the one and only one way out. Suffering of people around is due to reckless development happening all around. 100 years before the extend of damage was only realizable by 50-60 years. But now use of technology has resulted in such a pace o development that we get the damaging after effects within 5-10 years. So, my work was to make students/teachers and common man to understand that we are the creator of our own destiny. I talked about four sectors which need most attention in the times we live.
a.      Agriculture
b.     Climate change
c.      Wetland Conservation
d.     Transport sector.

 I hope they could take away few scientific points to make a small change in them so that a large human effort results in the world.

  • Delivered an invited talk on “Accessing Higher dimensions for sustainable development” at St. Mary’s College Maracadu on 27.02.2018. My students Mr. Renjith and Miss. Gopika had invited me to talk on Science day celebrations. Talking about higher dimensions is always interesting and students does put lot of attention to get hold of dimensions other than what we have through five senses. I was talking about how to get sixth, seventh sense using Science to help us in sustaining the development we have created in past few decades without natural disasters or calamities.

  • Last day of February, Talk on “Climate change and its after effects” at Fatima Mata College, Kollam. Mrs Sheena Mary is a personal friend/Student of mine. Her invitation to the college is always a proud feeling. The auditorium was in full occupied state by students of Physics. And having a dynamic session with them is always thrilling. To convey the ideas, we need different approaches which may contract the conventional state of art of presentation. Just like saying new generation frequency should be matched precisely otherwise the same effort may result in opposite conclusions. They are people who needs to be hugged, appreciated and considered human.

I was delighted to deliver a talk at Sree Narayana College, Varkala, as part of the TRENDZ Seminar Series 2025 organised by the PG Department of Physics. A Moment of Grace and Responsibility In the sacred silence of a church, we often see a priest standing before the congregation.
