POWER OF SMALL THINGS:
ENERGY, ENVIRONMENT, AND US

"Earth Song"

What about sunrise?
What about rain?
What about all the things
That you said we were to gain?

What about killing fields?
Is there a time?
What about all the things
That you said was yours and mine?

Did you ever stop to notice
All the blood we've shed before?
Did you ever stop to notice
This crying Earth, this weeping shore?

Ah, ooh
Ah, ooh

What have we done to the world?
Look what we've done
What about all the peace
That you pledge your only son?

What about flowering fields?
Is there a time?
What about all the dreams
That you said was yours and mine?

Did you ever stop to notice
All the children dead from war?
Did you ever stop to notice
This crying Earth, this weeping shore?

Ah, ooh
Ah, ooh

I used to dream
I used to glance beyond the stars
Now I don't know where we are
Although I know we've drifted far

Ah, ooh
Ah, ooh
Ah, ooh
Ah, ooh

Hey, what about yesterday?
(What about us?)
What about the seas?
(What about us?)
Heavens are falling down
(What about us?)
I can't even breathe
(What about us?)

What about apathy?
(What about us?)
I need you
(What about us?)
What about nature's worth?
(Ooh, ooh)
It's our planet's womb
(What about us?)

What about animals?
(What about it?)
Turned kingdoms to dust?
(What about us?)
What about elephants?
(What about us?)
Have we lost their trust?
(What about us?)

What about crying whales
(What about us?)
Ravaging the seas?
(What about us?)
What about forest trails
(Ooh, ooh)
Burnt despite our pleas?
(What about us?)

What about the holy land
(What about it?)
Torn apart by creed?
(What about us?)
What about the common man?
(What about us?)
Can't we set him free?
(What about us?)

What about children dying?
(What about us?)
Can't you hear them cry?
(What about us?)
Where did we go wrong?
(Ooh, ooh)
Someone tell me why
(What about us?)

What about baby boy?
(What about it?)
What about the days?
(What about us?)
What about all their joy?
(What about us?)
What about the man?
(What about us?)

What about the crying man?
(What about us?)
What about Abraham?
(What about us?)
What about death again?
(Ooh, ooh)
Do we give a damn!

Ah, hee-hee, ooh (Hoo, hoo, hoo, hoo, hoo, hoo, hoo!)
Ah, ooh (Hoo, hoo, hoo, hoo!)

This heat is electricity wasted.
Imagine 70 lakh homes…
One tiny step can make a big difference in energy conservation.

Amory Lovins is a well-known American physicist, environmentalist, energy policy analyst, and co-founder of the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI).

Pioneering the idea of "negawatts" (energy saved is more valuable than energy produced).
Recognition: Widely regarded as one of the world’s leading thinkers on energy conservation and sustainability.

Our Words are very effective. Use it wisely,
It could change the lives

A novel tellurite-based double perovskite material has been developed that emits a highly stable and efficient cyan light—an important spectral region often underrepresented in conventional LED systems. Owing to its robust crystal structure, the material exhibits strong luminescence, excellent thermal stability, and reliable performance, enabling LEDs and display devices to produce more natural, balanced, and visually comfortable white light. In essence, this innovation provides LED technology with a clearer and more accurate cyan component, enhancing overall colour quality and energy-efficient illumination. (Indian Patent No. 454107, “Double Perovskite Tellurates and the Use Thereof in the Fabrication of Cyan Emitting LEDs,” Intellectual Property India.)

Countries like INDIA- Sun should be the major source of energy

We often assume that every other life form exists to serve us, but that perception must change. The truth is stark: if earthworms disappear, the soil systems that support our food and ecosystems could collapse within about 18 months. If insects vanish, most flowering plants and food chains would fail within 3–4 years. Yet if humans were to disappear, life on Earth would recover, regenerate, and flourish. This contrast reminds us that we are not the masters of the planet but one species among many, deeply dependent on the delicate balance sustained by organisms far smaller and far more essential than ourselves. It is time to shift our perspective and recognise our responsibility to protect the life forms that keep this world alive.

Will you change?

Climate change is driven largely by our ever-growing energy needs, but history shows that even small corrections in our daily habits can create enormous impact. Take plastics, for example: a material we once misused but later learned to manage better—modern plastics can be reused not just 1,000 times but even up to 10,000 times when grades are fixed and recycling is enforced by law. The simple introduction of cloth bags, reusable for dozens of cycles, changed our behaviour without any major technology revolution. This is the lesson we must carry forward: meaningful climate action does not always demand grand inventions—simple rules and simple attention from each of us can shift the entire system. If we can apply the same mindset to our energy choices, the path to a sustainable future will become not only possible, but effortless.

Predictions are not destiny-
Being human means we can rewrite the ending
