Updates of Latest events in Department of Physics
Hai,
Today
let me share with you three events that happened during the past few days in
the department.
1.
Admission of new students and conduct of
induction program
2.
Sent off to M Sc 2015-17 Batch and Onam
Celebrations
3.
My Friend, Mr. Vishnu Narayanan has completed
5 years of teaching in Department of English, University of Kerala
This
month has been an eventful month since new students has been admitted to the
department. 17 students are admitted and registered for M Sc Physics Programme
2017-19. A school level induction program was conducted on September 30, 2017.
As we know that our school comprises of five disciplines-Physics, Chemistry,
Mathematics, Statistics and Demography. Prof. T S Anirudhan sir was again in charge
of conducting the school level induction program and Prof. N Purnachandra Rao,
Director, NCESS was our chief guest. When a program is started well, then it is
always half done isn’t it. That was the case in this year also. Our chief guest
showed that science is always a pursuit of happiness and joy. Yeah, it will be
definitely a fun ride with new students where I too will have many things to
learn from them. Attaching photos of the same…
And next program is the sent off and Onam celebration conducted on September 31, 2017. I couldn’t be present for the program completely but I did convey my regards in little bit time which I have saved for them. I do understand that there were many students not present from M Sc 2015-17 Batch. For them, I would like to share my speech which I had prepared for you. Do spend some time in reading this.
Hai
all,
Today
it is an auspicious day since we are celebrating our Onam and also we are
giving a heartfelt send off to M Sc 2015-17 Batch. I want to place in account
my sincere apologies for my absence in the event. Due to unforeseen reasons, I
have to attend a meeting in Palayam Campus. I have been the course advisor for
the passing out batch for 2015-16. The intimacy and rapport that we had, is praiseworthy.
Many initiatives were under taken during their period over here. I should say
that it was a grand memorable one. One
thing that I could notice is that they were willing to take up any task when
their teachers ask them. Let me elaborate on what I am talking about. Last
initiative is that I had asked this batch to present a poster on innovative
teaching learning process named “Teaching/Learning through drama in the class”.
Even though this venture was successfully practiced in the class, I never
thought that they will put a consolidated effort to present this technique to
the whole campus. Many teachers and students did appreciate this effort of
learning electronics by visualizing it in mind. I could recollect numbers of
initiatives taken by them to make this department a better place to live and
let live. I would like to personally call out their names for one more time in
roll number order for old time sake.

I
know that some of them may not be present here. But I would like this message
to reach all students. You have to understand that we all long to learn more. I
have seen your longing to learn. I would like to say that success is not what
is obtained from the degrees you achieve over here. Success is determined by
your capability to handle various situations with awareness. I sense that M Sc
2015-17 batch students are skilled to handle the life situations in any area of
your future works. As a teacher, I would like to say that “do remember to put a
cent percent effort to enhance your natural talents to do justice with the
perceived facts and truth”. Why I say this is because our world today is now
100% informative but with no or little inspiration. Without inspirations, no
human being raises beyond limitations in which he lives. And my role during the
last few years here has been always to inspire people to learn, to create a
thirst for knowledge and to love you all like my little ones.
I
wish you all a happy and prosperous Onam. I would like to say that
relationships are forever. You should understand that if a person becomes a
teacher/student, you can never deny in your life that you didn’t have a
relationship with him/her. It is not a quote from Feynman!. Yes…I am proud to
be your teacher. And I also appreciate the organizing team for conducting the
event even though they had to face many hurdles to complete this venture.
Cheers
to all
With
love
Last
but not least, My friend, Mr. Vishnu Narayanan, Assistant Professor, Department
of English, has completed five years of teaching in his department. I wish him
all the very best in his career and let God bless him with for he is a teacher
who not only teaches but also inspires.
Let me share you a photo when I and Uday went with Vishnuji to buy him Kerals Shirt and mundu at Parthas. You may be looking where Vishnu is? He is in the trial room.
