Celebrating Pi day_Prof. G Aruldhas Memorial Lecture Series_Inauguration

Dear all,

The program started with Prayer Song. It was a special moment for me to deliver the welcome to the gathering. You may ask why it is a special moment. The simple reason is that it is always a great day for a student to stand for his teacher. I am thankful to almighty for his blessing for providing me such an opportunity. We had Prof. V Unnikrishnan, Prof.V S Jayakumar and Prof. K G Gopchandran to felicitate and share their memories with us. The personal attachment that Aruldhas sir had with his students is so heartfelt that we could feel the immensity of love the students hold in their mind towards him. I am attaching some of the photos which could cherish the memories of the students who had been attached with Aruldhas Sir.























The meeting concluded with the inaugural talk on “Introduction to Spectroscopy” by Prof. V Unnikrishnan. I thank all the students who participated in the event and would like to comment that you will be benefited with future programs. We, Department of Physics, feel that Knowledge should know no barrier and education in its most profound way is to be joyful, inspirational and Informative. We are all obliged to provide it in the most suiting manner in our future endeavors.

On the very next day, we could present a poster on innovative teaching/learning skills for the curriculum fair at Senate Hall, Palayam. Achuthsankar sir appreciated our efforts and commented that Drama style of teaching has a history. In Russia, when electronics was just blooming, teachers used to make students compute the output using the very same techniques. We were happy to hear that our effort are noticed and I would likt o congratulate the team members and especially Vilesh for setting the poster at the right time for presenting in the fair.

I was delighted to deliver a talk at Sree Narayana College, Varkala, as part of the TRENDZ Seminar Series 2025 organised by the PG Department of Physics. A Moment of Grace and Responsibility In the sacred silence of a church, we often see a priest standing before the congregation. He may not always be the wisest, the most talented, or the most scholarly in the scriptures. Yet, once chosen to stand in that space, he carries a responsibility, not of perfection, but of presence.
