Ozone Day Seminar & Quiz and other activities- September, 2016

On 22nd and 27th September, 2016 I was invited by KUCTE, Kumarapuram to conduct an inter college quiz competition and seminar on Ozone day and its awareness. Principal Dr. Vijayakumari Amma extended warm welcome and the hospitality which they offered commendable. Eight teams were selected for preliminary round and five were selected for Main round. It should be appreciated that the organizer were able to gather many students as audience for this knowledge sharing program. The idea behind the program has a larger perspective. Protect earth and prevent climate change was the motivation of the program. If our efforts are combined in a synchronized manner, we still have hope of a better future. I am thankful to the organizer who found me suitable to the motivator for such a burning hot topic. If we take statistics, IPCC has peered reviewed 92,000 journals confirming that human pollution is the real cause behind the alarming increase in cancer patients. Department Level Induction Program and IQAC International Seminar

Department of Physics, University of Kerala, Organized a one day orientation program for newly joined M Sc students (2016-18 Batch) on 25 th August 2016 as a part of Two tire induction program. We had three invited speakers 1.       Dr. I N Ponpandian, Associate Professor at Department of Nanoscience and technology, Bharathiar university. 2.       Dr.V Unnikrishnan Nayar,  Former Prof & head,Dept of Optoelectronics, University of Kerala, Kariyavattom. 3.       Prof. K Madhusoodanan Pillai, Former Head, Department of Physics, University College, Trivandrum. Dr. Ponpandian introduced the students to the world of material science research and the attitude that a student should have while pursuing a career in Physics.
