News on August

Once again an Onam has passed by. We too celebrated it in style. On the third week of August, 2015 Department of Physics Organized programme in connection with Onam Celebration 2015. We participated in athapookalam as well as payasam make competitions organized by students union and it was a fruitful one not only because we grabbed prizes but also we acted as a unit in all events. All students and Faculty of Physics as well as our guide and well Wisher of our department Dr. K G Gopchandran got together on 20.08.2015 at department auditorium and we shared the ideas of virtues that we should keep while celebrating Onam. On the same week, I and Dr. Udayachandran participated in Shuttle competition organized by Teachers Hostel in connection with Onam celebrations. It got immense support from all teachers from diverse fields of science as well as arts. These programme definitely states that we all could act as one mind to carry out events. Attaching photos herewith and I am also happy to share some photos of Dr. V Biju, HOD, Department of Physics, who participated and inaugurated the function of behalf of Teachers representation.

I was delighted to deliver a talk at Sree Narayana College, Varkala, as part of the TRENDZ Seminar Series 2025 organised by the PG Department of Physics. A Moment of Grace and Responsibility In the sacred silence of a church, we often see a priest standing before the congregation. He may not always be the wisest, the most talented, or the most scholarly in the scriptures. Yet, once chosen to stand in that space, he carries a responsibility, not of perfection, but of presence.
