Glad to share that our first-year UG (Major Physics) students have released a magazine as part of their two-week project on the lives and ideas of physics luminaries like Einstein, Tesla, and Stephen Hawking. This project was a team effort aimed at highlighting how these great scientists started with simple ideas and made incredible contributions that we benefit from today. The magazine is a reflection of the curiosity and collaborative spirit that we promote in our new four-year UG program. I congratulate the students on their hard work and dedication. National Space Day Celebration at SD College, Alappuzha

Welcome all



On August 12, 2024, 10 am in celebration of one year of the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 (August 23, 2024-National Space Day), Sanatana Dharma College organized an invited talk titled “The Journey Beyond: Shaping the Future of Space Exploration”. The event was jointly organized by the Outreach and Extension Activities Cell in association with NCC, SDC. I had the privilege of discussing various aspects of India's space missions, sharing insightful ideas that have transformed the world, and presenting potential concepts that hold promise for future development. My sincere thanks to the organizers for this opportunity. Here are a few photos from the event.

I was delighted to deliver a talk at Sree Narayana College, Varkala, as part of the TRENDZ Seminar Series 2025 organised by the PG Department of Physics. Speaking on “2D Materials for a Sustainable Energy Future” , I had the opportunity to introduce students and faculty to the fascinating world of ultrathin materials, their role in next-generation fuel cells, and how they tie into the broader vision of sustainable development. A Moment of Grace and Responsibility In the sacred silence of a church, we often see a priest standing before the congregation. He may not always be the wisest, the most talented, or the most scholarly in the scriptures. Yet, once chosen to stand in that space, he carries a responsibility, not of perfection, but of presence.
