Eventful days

On February 3, 4, 5, KSSP Kariavatom Campus organized a book fest at KUTA hall, University of Kerala, Kariavattom Campus. I am attaching Some Photos of the event organized.

On February 2, 2020, My daughter Mili celebrated her 8th Birthday. I was happy that it was a Sunday, and I could be there wither the whole day to share with her the happiness and joy of Mili being my daughter. I have often seen that daughter is often very attached to her father. This time again, I asked the same question, “Whom do you love more- Papa or Amma?” This time too, she gave the same diplomatic answer, “Both.” It is nice to hear her response each time. But when it is time to leave and come back to the department. She secretly comes and says, “I love my papa a little more than Amma.” Did I enjoy it? The answer is, “The play of question and dance with the answers is important in life” Yes dear friends, life is not about BIG or SMALL. Life is a play, and are we playing it happily. That is the question and there is the answer.

On February 1, 2020, I, along with Prof. Bijukumar, Head, Department of Aquatic Biology, were invited by FOCUS 2020 organizers to deliver a talk on scientific development in recent times at the SDV auditorium Alappuzha. Dr. Tessy Thomas, The missile woman of India, was the chief guest of the event. It was nice to see that she also interacted with the students just like in the times of APJ Abdul Kalam. I am adding some questions and answers which attracted my mind during the session with Dr. Tessy Thomas. I thank Adv. K H Babujan and Prof. Indulal for giving me a platform for interacting with the students. Each small step to be inspired and to give their aspirations in the field of Science is certainly the most valued thing in my life.

From my FB post

Question...How to become like you?

Ans. Don't become like me. You be you. Do what you like. I just did my job. I worked under apj. It is just a matter to stay patient and don't change path every day.

Q. As you work on warfare research, isn't it against gandhiji vision for our nation for peace?

Ans. A person who have a stick doesn't mean that he is going to hit you with it. But it is an icon which convey a message that if you hit, I have the capability to hit back. It is like being courageous. Being courageous doesn't mean you go around and hit people. Being courageous means you have the capability to hit back, still you decide not to do to maintain peace. 😊
She added that even if Gandhiji were here with us, he would have said that to you. To be peaceful but with a capacity of an army who is there to protect us.

Q. Will there be world war?
Ans. No. Because all the nations in UN knows very well that there will be no world to fight for if we have world war 3.

Q. How much does emotional quotient played in your life?

Ans. Don't cry over things when someone calls you stupid, useless. Our peace of mind should not be surrendered to others. Your happiness is your choice. That he or she may momentarily call you stupid or useless or anything of that sort. Just get through that moment without losing mind. If you over come that moment, life will tell you in many ways that you are valuable. Just don't lose yourself in that moment.

Q. Have you had enjoyed, played with ur friends...or was it your focus on studies fetch you results?

Ans. From day 1 I have done all fun that a student a friend can do with her life. For my career, who motivated me was APJ. He was a constant inspiration. He was a leader. Many things I learned from him. Other than APJ, if you ask who is my career inspiration. I would say that it wass my mother. It is not an easy walk for a women to come up in life. So I feel my mother is instrumental for my success.

It was indeed a great time with you sir. I thank Babujan sir, Indulal sir...for the event focus 2020.
