Happy Christmas and Happy New Year

Once again Christmas, so let me wish you all the best in the coming Christmas. May his grace be upon you in the coming year…

Let me share with you few programs initiated during the past few weeks.
On November 15, 2019, I was invited to Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam to deliver a talk on “Formulation of Quantum Statistics” as a part of Two day National Seminar on the foundation of statistical Mechanics and celebration of 125th Birth Anniversary of S.N. Bose. I thank the organisers especially Robin sir for inviting me for the program. Robin sir is a close friend of Dr Ajith Dain Thomas as well as colleague of my sister Mary Linsa K S. Attaching some photos of the same where we celebrated nice time of academic deliberations as friendly moments of togetherness.













On November 20, 2019, A convocation ceremony was conducted for 2017-19 PG batch (Questa Nova). Prof. V K Vaidyan was the chief guest and he delivered the presidential address for the ceremony. This ceremony was first of its kind in the history of the Department of Physics. I feel that we are now part of the glorious history of the department. I congratulate all the students of Questa Nova who passed out of this institution and let their ambitions, goals be fulfilled in the coming days. On November 28, 2019, I was invited to academic staff college to deliver an invited talk on fuel cell as a part of 14-day Orientation program conducted.

On December 7, 2019, I was invited to M S M College Kayamkulam to be the part of mentoring system of Walk with the scholar (WWS) program. I thank Dr Jyothi madam for inviting me to deliver a talk on “Scientific Temper”. Attaching some photos of the same. I would like to share the names of a few new friends I have made. Last but not least, I would like to share with all my blog reader that I am blessed this year with a baby Boy. We have named him SIAN. SIAN means God is Gracious/Great in French. I love French!!! Dear Friends, Thank you for unfailing love and support you give me. All these moments in my life make me understand that we all are just one and the same. We are here to make each and every moment in life joyful since I have realised that life is just brief. How fast it goes depends on how joyful you are!!! Be joyful.

I was delighted to deliver a talk at Sree Narayana College, Varkala, as part of the TRENDZ Seminar Series 2025 organised by the PG Department of Physics. Speaking on “2D Materials for a Sustainable Energy Future” , I had the opportunity to introduce students and faculty to the fascinating world of ultrathin materials, their role in next-generation fuel cells, and how they tie into the broader vision of sustainable development. A Moment of Grace and Responsibility In the sacred silence of a church, we often see a priest standing before the congregation. He may not always be the wisest, the most talented, or the most scholarly in the scriptures. Yet, once chosen to stand in that space, he carries a responsibility, not of perfection, but of presence. He becomes a vessel, entrusted to speak, to guide, and to serve. These words, shared by Nazeeb Sir, deeply resonate with me. Today, I stood before an august gathering that included the respected IQAC Director and faculty members from across the University, not as the most accomplished, but as one entrusted with a message. 🌟 Kudos to Dr. Rakhi R. B., our proud alumna of the Department of Physics, University of Kerala.
