November Updates
On November 7, 2019, A special lecture by Prof. Chris Dainty was organised jointly by Department of Optoelectronics and Department of Physics at Auditorium. Dr Rakhi B R delivered the welcome speech and also introduced the speaker. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mahadevan Pillai, Prof. Narayana Murthy, IIST were present during the session. After the exciting talk on adaptive optics, Vice-chancellor presented a memento to the invited speaker. Professor Chris Dainty also found time to interact with the students for half an hour after the lecture. Attaching photos of the same.
On November 6, 2019, Department of Physics organised an invited talk on "Nobel Prize in Physics: From Exoplanets to Cosmos" at Auditorium for general Public. Dr Soumen Basak, IISER was the speaker. I thank Mamatha Madam for organising such an event in the department. The program was appreciated by students, teachers and research community. Some photos of the same.
On November 4, 2019, I was appointed as Judge for Kerala State Science Fest 2019 held at VM HSS, Kunnamkulam, Guruvayoor. I am thankful for Shibu sir for considering me apt as jury member for working model section along with Anidrudhan Sir and Shoba madam. It is always a great pleasure to work with Anirudhan sir. His constant, unwavering attitude along with the enthusiasm in which he asks questions to the participants is to be applauded and appreciated in all sense. Once again this opportunity helped me to access myself and to enhance myself to present science enthusiasts. Attaching some photos of the same.

On 26.11.2019, I was invited by Rakesh Chandran Sir, S D College, Alappuzha to speak on "Scientific Temper" for Walk with the scholar Initiative. It was a very lively batch of students with whom I interacted for two hours. I understand that there is nothing to teach Scientific Temper but to realize why we need it badly. On 24.10.2019, I was invited as a judge for Kerala State Science Fest, Pala District. I could also meet Lidya, Former student of Department of Physics. She is doing B Ed at St Thomas School, Pala. I could even meet her teacher and friends. It was a cherishing moment for me since I find that her affection, care and love has not diminished even by a minuscule. Attaching some photos

On 29 October 2019, Four of my students participated in the Kerala State initiative Young Innovators Program (YIP) 2019 at KSUM, Thejaswini, G3B, Technopark, Kazhakottam.
On 30.10.2019, Kerala Shastra Sahithya Parishith Kariavattom Campus Unit was constituted. I was nominated as President. Adarsh (Nanotechnology) and Gayathiri (Journalism) were nominated as Vice-President while Nithin (Areachology) is the secretary. I thank all the executive members for finding me suitable for holding such a position in the campus.
