The students were assigned with different topics ensuring a pretty well on stage and off stage coordination. Dr.Subodh G inaugurated the event which was followed by ‘tribute to Dr.  A.P.J.Abdul Kalam’. A brief history of Nobel Prize then succeeded in and initiated the series of presentations regarding the Nobel Prize winners of 2016 in medicine, physics, chemistry, peace, economics and literature respectively. Each presentation was delivered for about 15 minutes and the entire programme was nourished by extracurricular activities including quiz time, poems and songs. The audience was rendered a short time interaction with the topics discussed so as to erase their doubts. A defense committee was well organized among the HCl members to tackle the questions posed. GRAB CSIR-‘16

A talk on how to prepare for CSIR exam was given by Dr. Sibi K S (Assistant professor, Dept. of Physics) at the department auditorium on Thursday, 10 November 2016, from 10.30 to  12.30. The talk was preceded by an innovative skit contributed by the first year PG students (Habile Cluster) the skit aimed to nourish the ideas of students and help them discover their real passion in life. The theme was focused on the philosophy that arts tied with science makes life. It posed a stage for the young physicists to explore their talents and also a self-motivation so as to appear for competitive exams and hence the skit was titled as ‘The NET’. It was followed by an enchanting talk by Dr. Sibi K S. He focused on qualitative time management as a part of preparing for competitive exams. The talk was wrapped in the fire of motivation. The programme had a wide reach out to many students from various colleges in Trivandrum. The students were allowed to put forward their feedbacks and their feedbacks marked the acceptance of the programme. It was a great team work and that too with the glory of God, became a great success.
