Report on Oct-Nov Activities
NOBELIA’16 A programme based on ‘The Nobel Prize 2016 for various streams’ were organized and held on Wednesday, 19 October 2016 at 1.30pm in the auditorium of Physics department, by our little fresher’s in PG. They named themselves as HCl- Habile Cluster constituting a single boy representing hydrogen (Z=1) and the 17 girls representing chlorine (Z=17) in the periodic table. The students were assigned with different topics ensuring a pretty well on stage and off stage coordination. Dr.Subodh G inaugurated the event which was followed by ‘tribute to Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam’. A brief history of Nobel Prize then succeeded in and initiated the series of presentations regarding the Nobel Prize winners of 2016 in medicine, physics, chemistry, peace, economics and literature respectively. Each presentation was delivered for about 15 minutes and the entire programme was nourished by extracurricular activities including quiz time, poems and songs. The audience...
